As children, many of us embraced 3D technology with King Kong or one of the few movies available in 3D format. In 2011, computers and the internet have our eyes open to a world where anything is possible and the stakes for entertainment have been raised. Movies like Avatar, Jackass 3D, and Journey to the Center of the Earth, have moviegoers paying $15 to see a movie. Despite paying the same cost as buying a movie just to watch it once in the theatres, moviegoers are willing to pay for the experience. But just how long will it be before you can have a 3D computer screen? Conventional wisdom says it will not be long at all.
What to Expect From 3D Computers and How to Get Ready for Them
1.) The Games Will Come First: Even as I type this I’m sure there are game programmers working on the first and coolest PC games to deliver 3D action. War games, role playing games, and classics like Mario Brothers are sure to be 3D gaming hits the moment they become available.
2.) 3D Cameras will be Compatible with Your Computers: There is already a lot of demand by the photo and movie taking public to be able to use the technology on their own. Consumers will no doubt yearn for the ability to take their own pictures and videos in 3D and view them at home, and developers are all too eager to satisfy that public.
3.) Make Sure Your Computer is Equipped to Handle HD Technology: Your computer will have to satisfy some minimum requirements in order to be 3D capable. Minimum requirements include a system with 120Hz and a 3D capable ready display, which can come in the form of a 3D projector, an LCD desktop, or as a 3D television that should also be available around the same time as a 3D capable computer monitor.
